Our Legacy
At Arthan, silk isn't just a material — it is a carrier of blessings, energy and legacy.
We create thoughtful, handcrafted silk cocoon accessories that bring meaning and beauty into everyday moments and special occasions. Every piece we make is born from slow, intentional processes carefully dyed, shaped, and detailed to align with your personal stories and rituals.
Silk has long been a symbol of prosperity not just wealth, but abundance in spirit. In moments of prayer, blessing, or gratitude, there’s an unseen exchange, a quiet current of energy. Our Creations, worn close to the skin, doesn't just adorn. It holds that moment, and reflects it back.
Rooted in Tradition
Born from Salem’s deep-rooted handloom traditions, we carry forward a rich ancestral legacy blending decades of skill with innovation. With over 20 years of dedicated research, we take pride in being among the pioneers of transforming silk cocoons into wearable stories.
Direct from the heartlands
Our silk cocoons are directly sourced from local farmers in the Ramanagara region, known for it's sericulture legacy. We maintain transparent, ethical and sustainable sourcing, ensuring no middlemen, just fair trade practices with farmers.
Designed to Last
Every piece we create is made to be more than beautiful, it's made to last. From the natural resilience of the cocoon to the care in our craftsmanship, we ensure durability. Slow-made with intention, to be treasured across moments and memories. At Arthan, longevity begins at the cocoon.
The Ahimsa Way
At Arthan, we value life in every form. Here the cocoon is left untouched until the life within has flown out naturally. This mindful process avoids harm to the silkworm, reflecting our commitment to conscious, ethical and cruelty-free craftsmanship.
Handmade by Her
Arthan is a women-led initiative supporting local women to independently earn, grow, and support their families through their work. Each piece is dyed carefully with precision and handcrafted after understanding your needs and preferences. We don’t mass-produce, we soul craft.
Consciously Crafted
Each accessory crafted at Arthan is finished with copper wires, known for conducting and amplifying the flow of positive energy within us. We avoid usage of any plastic while crafting, not just for the sustainability of Mother Earth, but for the energy that flows through everything we wear.
Sacred Rituals, Timesless Beliefs
Silk has long been a symbol of prosperity - not just wealth, but abundance in spirit. In moments of prayer, blessing, or gratitude, there’s an unseen exchange, a quiet current of energy. Silk, worn close to the skin, doesn't just adorn. It holds our vibrations. It holds our blessings, and reflects it back.
